Welcome, I'm Roxanne.
I'm the creator behind The Yuca Diaries—a recipe developer, photographer, and the floral designer behind Forever Blooms, with a lifelong love of creating beauty in everyday life.
I grew up in Miami during the '80s and '90s, where vibrant flavors, tropical colors, Latin culture, and warm hospitality shaped the way I see the world. My Cuban heritage continues to inspire the way I cook, create, gather, and celebrate. These days I call Texas home, but I'll never pass up an opportunity for a beach day.
I believe beauty isn't reserved for special occasions. It can be found around the dinner table, in fresh flowers, welcoming spaces, handwritten notes, and the everyday moments that quietly become our favorite memories.
Friends would probably describe me as someone who finds joy in just about everything and is always dreaming up a new idea. Whether I'm testing a new recipe, arranging flowers, styling a room, or planning the next gathering, I'm happiest when I'm creating something that brings people together. You'll also find me enthusiastically learning new roller-skating moves, grabbing a karaoke microphone whenever the opportunity presents itself, and wholeheartedly embracing puffy sleeves—which probably tells you everything you need to know about me.
Here you'll find stories from everyday life, recipes inspired by family, tradition, and connection, floral design through Forever Blooms, beautiful spaces, meaningful gatherings, and The Written Things We Keep—a collection celebrating handwritten notes, keepsakes, and the moments that become part of our family's story.
Life is made up of ordinary moments. My hope is to help you celebrate them a little more beautifully.
Welcome to The Yuca Diaries. I hope you'll stay awhile.
