Fabric Dolls

I mentioned in my last post that I’ve been on a bit of a DIY kick lately. I’ve wanted to learn to sew for years, but I never seemed to have the time—or maybe I was just a little intimidated to get started. Once my baby girl came along, though, I finally had all the motivation I needed.

My mom was in town for a few days, and since she knows how to sew, we decided to make the most of our time together. We headed to the fabric store, picked out a few patterns and fabrics, and got to work.

I couldn’t wait to share the finished dolls because they turned out even better than I’d hoped. I feel like the finished product was worth the effort to practice a new skill.

If you’d like to make your own, I used Simplicity patterns 1342 and 1549.
